As part of the Unite To Remain agreement as a local party we made the decision to step aside for Plaid Cymru on Anglesey. This was a difficult decision to make as the climate and environment is of paramount in important to us. Before making a decision we reached out to Aled Ap Dafydd Plaid’s candidate and recieved a statement regarding their commitment not to vote for nuclear on Angelsey.
The decisions on Wylfa B are made in Westminster by our MP’s so with the Unite To Remain agreement could possibly lead to many more elected Greens in Westminster voting against nuclear and ensuring clean green energy for Anglesey.
We understand the frustrations involved with having to vote for party which you may not normally vote for, however we hope this will ensure we have more green voices across the UK.
